Why Avecina

Eight things we can show you

Each point below is something already published on this website and open to inspection — not a claim about how we compare to other schools.

  1. 01

A single setting from 9 months to Year 6

Children can join at Play Group and remain with us through to the end of Year 6 — one community, one set of expectations, and continuity of relationships across the whole of Early Years and Primary.

Ages 1–12, Early Years & Primary

  2. 02

A garden campus, not a compound

Avecina International School’s grounds are a garden oasis featuring winding pathways, tall trees, and flowers. We provide an environment where children find enticing learning opportunities outdoors. From mud kitchens, road tracks, and climbing frames to playhouses, sand pits, and caring for our friendly rabbits, the environment blends indoor and outdoor learning.

  3. 03

    An on-site Special Education Centre

Our Special Education Centre provides clinical assessment, individualised therapeutic support and inclusive academic provision, alongside English as an Additional Language support for pupils joining from other language backgrounds.

  6. 06

Swimming in the curriculum, not as an extra

All students participate in weekly coached sessions in our full-sized heated pool, developing water safety, stroke technique and physical endurance in a secure, supervised setting.

Weekly coached sessions for every pupil

  7. 07

    Named teachers you can see

Our teaching faculty and campus support team are published with their names, roles and photographs — because the people who care for your child should not be anonymous.

    Monthly Good Work Assemblies

Every month the school community gathers so that children can present projects and creative work directly to parents and peers, cultivating public speaking poise and celebrating individual accomplishment.
